Have a fixed shape.

Are often crystalline

Tend to be dense.

Cannot be poured.

Have a fixed volume.


Liquids

Take the shape of the container.

Are dense

Can be poured

Have a fixed volume


Gases

Take the shape of the container

Do not have crystals

are not dense

Are compressible.

Can be poured

Vary in volume
